Overall we offer a myriad of services in the areas of Housing and Reentry Support as well as Recovery Support.

HOUSING AND REENTRY

Homeless juvenile offenders could undergo a comprehensive training curriculum designed by the members of AWOL which could include financial literacy training, career coaching, and visioning sessions, and tech industries.

Young adults could be trained in real estate, startup, and other areas preparing them for self-employment.

 

EMERGENCY
HOUSING

In partnership with other emergency services sites, AWOL could support the collaborative effort to help clients experience a smooth transition while focusing on their stability as they move into emergency housing operated by AWOL. These transitional beds could be available for men, women, and children based on availability in the first homes that AWOL operates.

TRANSITIONAL
HOUSING

Transitional housing allows consumers to participate in this phase for 6-24 months based on need.  At this time, preparation for job readiness, financial literacy and permanent housing options could be facilitated. As AWOL grows into a  more stable organization, this will become one form of its target housing. 

PERMANENT
SUPPORTIVE HOUSING

To include but not limited to SRO, SFD, and mixed-use locations. AWOL could work through a referral only partnership to place qualified residents.  Families with children could have access to all youth and young adult programs and services. 

RECOVERY SUPPORT

YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Youth will be trained by seasoned professionals on creating wealth through real estate acquisition, beginning with financial literacy. They will also receive training and mentorship in the different aspects of property ownership.  Youth will create, design, and implement housing and commercial development projects.

 

ENTREPRENEURIAL/ TECHNOLOGY TRAINING

Individuals in business development and business planning classes would be available. We will work with the transient population to establish literacy, savings, and match funding for their growth, Also influencing technology creation/startup, as well as Tech job referral. Social enterprise training will assist in funding support. Field trips including where technology is today in different industries.

 
 

HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

AWOL would seek a partnership with Alameda County Social Services to provide transitional housing and permanent supportive housing and services to chronically homeless individuals.  Consumers will be referred. After completing the intake assessment requirements.   Clients will receive comprehensive wraparound services. 

 
 
 

YOUTH HOUSING DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM

By operating programs such as our own housing construction training program, our consumers will learn several aspects of real estate management, building, and development.  Youth will work directly with real estate professionals to train in the areas of the business. We will seek working relationships with trade training programs.
